Tuition and Fees 2015-2016

The tuition listed below includes class fees and student admission to regular-season, home athletic contests and to drama productions.  Annual tuition is payable in twelve equal monthly installments.

Payment Schedule

All Families Registraton Fee: (non-refundable) $100 per student or $150 per family


Students Registered With a Catholic Parish: $8,225 ($685.42/month)

     

Students Not Registered With a Catholic Parish: $8,945 ($745.42/month)

     

* For tuition accounts set up over 12 months, payments commence June prior to the start of the school year.

**Students who transfer later in the school year will receive a prorated tuition rate.  Tuition for these students, as well as students who register after the month of June, will be divided over the remaining months of the billing year.**

Tuition Assistance

Powers Catholic utilizes Private School Aid Service (PSAS) to help with coordinating our tuition assistance efforts. To apply for tuition assistance for the 2015-16 school year, please either follow the link below to complete and submit the form online, or download the PDF form below that may be completed and mailed to PSAS.

1) To apply for tuition assistance for the 2015-16 school year, please either use the online link above to complete and submit the form online, or use the download pdf form link above that may be completed and mailed to PSAS.

2) In addition to the methods of distribution listed above, a family can also complete the Student Aid Form PDF directly on their computer screen by placing the cursor at the appropriate fields and typing in the information. Also, you MUST include a check or money order made out to PSAS in the amount of applicable fee listed.

Parish Assistance

Some parishes offer assistance to their students attending Powers Catholic High School. You should contact your parish business office to see if there is assistance available and follow their application process.

 

Diocese of Lansing Scholarships

The Diocese of Lansing has scholarships available to Catholic students enrolling in grades 6-11 at any Catholic school within the diocese.  Scholarships for students in grades 9-11 are $1,000 and for students in grades 6-8 are $750.  The application is available online at http://www.psas.org/2793.aspx and must be completed (or postmarked) by March 16th, 2015.  There is a $26 application fee for this program.

Please note: By utilizing the Powers Catholic form you will be considered for the Diocese of Lansing scholarships, if you meet their criteria AND you meet the filing date of 3/15/2015.

 

Student Referral Program

All of Genesee County Catholic Schools are participating in a student referral program that allows your family the opportunity to receive money towards your student's tuition. If you have a family member, friend, or neighbor that may be interested in joining any Genesee County Catholic School for the first time, please download this form and submit it to the appropriate school. If your referral leads to a new student enrolling at one of the elementary schools you will earn $500 towards your student's tuition or $1,000 if a new student enrolls at Powers Catholic High School.

Scholarship Opportunities

These funds are used to support academic scholarships, need-based tuition assistance and school programs.  For further information regarding scholarships, please contact Brenda Goyette at 810-591-0100 in the Advancement Office.

  

SCRIP Program

We also have a scrip program through which parents, grandparents, and even friends can help you earn credit toward your student’s tuition through normal family purchasing habits. Click on the links below for more information or contact our main office at 810-591-4741.

CERV (DTE/Palace Concessions) - Group 1

Parents also have the opportunity to obtain tuition help by working concessions at the Palace of Auburn Hills, DTE Theatre, and other venues through CERV (Community Enrichment Related Volunteers). For more information, please contact LouAnne Nason at [email protected].

Competitive Sports and Education - Group 2

Parents also have the opportunity to obtain tuition help by working concessions at the Palace of Auburn Hills, DTE Theatre, and other venues through the Competetive Sports and Education group. For this group, please contact Annette Orth at [email protected].

HFEST (DTE/Palace Concessions) - Group 3

Parents also have the opportunity to obtain tuition help by working concessions at the Palace of Auburn Hills and DTE Theatre through HFEST (Helping Finance Education and Sports Tuition).
